Records, mainly 1964-1973, of the Wisconsin representative to the Upper Mississippi River Basin Study Coordinating Committee, an intergovernmental committee chaired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and including five midwestern states that sought to coordinate economic and conservation planning for the northern Mississippi River watershed. Documented are Theodore F. Wasniewski, assistant administrator to the DNR Division of Environmental Protection and a member of the Natural Resources Council of State Agencies, and his predecessors, Frank Zeidler of the Department of Resource Development, and Arvid Sather, legal counsel to Governor Warren P. Knowles. The records consist of correspondence, transcripts of two meetings held in Madison, draft commentaries on Appendix O to the report, and brief records of the Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee, 1944-1952.
