Abstract:
Papers of Kyle Kenyon, Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly (Monroe County) from 1956 through 1972, consisting of legislative subject files and correspondence. The subject files include bills Representative Kenyon introduced or co-sponsored, campaign files, files on various laws and legislation, files related to branch banking and insurance, budget and taxes, Monroe County, education, state government, constituent issues, and individuals. Correspondence (1957-1964) documents interaction between Kenyon and his constituents; community, church, and business leaders; and other elected officials. The major correspondents include Congressman Vernon W. Thompson, Lieutenant Governor Jack Olson, and Public Service Commissioner Arthur L. Padre.
