Included are corporate and financial records and correspondence and subject files with information on operations, acreage and types of crops contracted, prices, production problems, marketing, and other topics. Also included are records of the related Pulaski Canning Company.
Family and Children's Center (La Crosse, Wis.)	Title: Family & Children's Center Records Physical Description: 7.0 cubic feet Call Number: MSS 011, Micro 5 Abstract: The Family & Children's Center located in La Crosse, Wisconsin, was formed in 1983 by the merger of the Family Services Association and the La Crosse Home for Children. The Center strives to operate a residential treatment facility for children with special care needs, as well as serve as an administrative and professional center for skilled personnel responsible for the specialized counseling needs of families and individuals. Previous names of the Family Services Association were the Wisconsin Humane Society of La Crosse, Social Service Society, Family Welfare Society and the Family Welfare Association. Previous names of the La Crosse Home for Children were La Crosse Home for Friendless Women and the La Crosse Home for Friendless Women and Children. The Family Services Association records (1881-1982) are extensive and include newspaper clippings, articles of incorporation and by-laws, board minutes and annual reports, financial records, agency evaluations, monthly statistical reports and other administrative files. A Humane officer's log is restricted. Records (1888-1983) of the La Crosse Home for Children are also extensive. Early materials include a "log of inmates" from 1888-1915, photographs of the Home and children that illustrate every day life in the Home, and newspaper clippings. Other records include by-laws (1888-1972), board of directors' committee materials and minutes (1888-1982), annual reports (1931-1981 with gaps), agency evaluations, licensing, externally produced reports, and financial records. A residential report file is restricted. Records (1983-1990) of the Family & Children's Center include historical materials and administrative files, such as merger documents and board meeting minutes, as well as some materials from the Douglas Center, a clinic that merged with the Family & Children's Center in 1994.
Family Service (Dane County, Wis.)	Title: Family Service (Dane County, Wis.) Records, 1910-1994 Quantity: 6.4 c.f. (16 archives boxes) and 17 photographs Call Number: Mss 894; PH Mss 894 Abstract: Records of Family Service, a private social service organization founded as Associated Charities of Madison, Wisconsin in 1910 and subsequently known as Madison Public Welfare Association (1919-1933), and Madison Family Welfare Association (1933-1935). In 1935 it merged with the Children's Service Association to become the Family Welfare and Children's Service Association, and in 1945 it became Family Service. Included are annual reports, minutes, policy documents, subject files, correspondence, clippings, photographs, publications, and financial records. Most extensive and complete are the meeting minutes (1910-1994) which document changes in the mission and programming from an agency that coordinated charitable relief to a direct provider of community service programs and individual and family counseling. Well documented programs include day nurseries, and health clinics, USO/Travelers Aid services, a homemaker service, financial and domestic abuse counseling, and Neighborhood House, an Italian community center. Services geared to children include a tuberculosis camp, foster care placement, and the nationally recognized school-family counseling program Families and Schools Together (FAST). The subject files of President David Fraser (1985-1994) also provide substantial documentation on agency programs and policies. In addition, information on relationships with other community social service organizations may be found throughout the collection.
Family Service Association of La Crosse (Wis.)	Title: Family Service Association of La Crosse Records, 1912-1966 Quantity: 2 reels of microfilm (35mm) Call Number: La Crosse Micro 9; Micro 724 Abstract: Scrapbooks of news clippings on a La Crosse, Wis., social service organization established in 1881, and successively known as the La Crosse County Branch of the Wisconsin Humane Society, the Social Services Society, and the Family Welfare Association. It is now affiliated with the National Family Service Association of America. The Association's programs include marital and family counseling; physical relief during times of illness, unemployment, and other crises; and Travelers' Aid. The clippings describe the activities of the Family Service Association and its predecessor organizations, and other La Crosse charities. The collection documents efforts by charitable organizations to combat the effects of economic depression and communicable diseases such as tuberculosis.

(2 archives boxes, 1 flat box, 1 oversize folder), 2 reels of microfilm (35mm), 293 photographs, and 8 transparencies Call Number: Parkside Mss 99; Parkside Micro 25; Micro 2083; PH Parkside Mss 99 Abstract: Brief records of Family Service of Racine, Wis., a community service organization formed in 1910 by the merger of the Northside Boys' Club, Associated Charities, Racine Day Nursery Association, and the Big Sisters organization. The merged organization was known as the Central Association until 1951. Included are histories of the agency, board minutes (1910-1922 only), clipping scrapbooks (on microfilm only), posters and printed material from the Racine Community Welfare Fund, minutes of the Case Advisory Committee, 1935-1937, and lists of children enrolled in the child care program from 1910 through the 1960s. Photographs provide particularly strong documentation of the child care program from 1910 through the 1960s including activities, toys and equipment, and children's attire. There is also visual documentation of the Family Service facilities, staff, and its early clubs and athletic programs. Additional photographs document a study of substandard housing in Racine, circa 1910.

(1 archives box) Call Number: Oshkosh Mss AC Abstract: Minutes of meetings, supplemented by some related correspondence, and reports, of an organization formed to coordinate the welfare activities of churches and other charitable agencies in Fond du Lac. Founded in 1910 as the Associated Charities of Fond du Lac, the name was changed to Public Welfare Association in 1921, and to Family Welfare Association in 1938.
Taylor, Fannie, 1913-2008	Title: Fannie Taylor Papers, 1937-2007 Quantity: 8.8 c.f. (15 archives boxes and 3 record center cartons) and 9 tape recordings; plus additions of 4.6 c.f., 117 photographs, 2 film reels (16 mm), 2 videocassettes, 30 tape recordings, 1 reel-to-reel audio tape, and 39 computer diskettes (5.25 inch) Call Number: U.S. Mss 142AN; Audio 1211A; M90-383; M2004-115; M2009-043 Abstract: Papers of Fannie Taylor, a Wisconsin educator and art administrator who was also prominently associated with the National Endowment for the Arts during the late 1960s and 1970s. Records concerning the NEA include a draft history by Rodney Campbell, Taylor's own published history of the Endowment's first decade, her transcribed interviews with agency leaders such as Hanks, Livingston Biddle Jr., and Roger L. Stevens, and other historical research files; and other records pertaining to Taylor's work as director of program information, as director of the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union Theater, and as a founding member of the Association of College and University Concert Managers (ACUCM).
Ball, Farlin Quigley	Title: Farlin Quigley Ball Letters, 1852-1911 Extent: 0.6 c.f. (2 archives boxes) Call Number: M2007-079 Abstract: Correspondence of Farlin Quigley Ball (1838-1917) from the time he was a student at the University of Wisconsin through his career as the chief justice of the superior court of Cook County, Illinois. During his last term at University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Civil War broke out and in the summer of 1862 he enlisted with Company G, 31st Infantry Regiment. His Civil War correspondence includes letters to Ball from his brothers Steven Ball (22nd Wisconsin Infantry) and William H. Ball (3rd Independent Wisconsin Light Artillery) as well as letters he received from classmates, many of whom served as officers. These letters document military campaigns, the condition of the army, and difficulties faced by the soldiers and their morale. The letters preceding the war are from other UW students and female acquaintances.

The collection consists of minutes of the board of directors and stockholders, 1927-1942; and a record of capital stock issued and transferred, 1908-1940.
National Farmers' Union (U.S.). Wisconsin Division	Title: Farmers Educational and Co-operative Union of America. Wisconsin Division: Records, 1924-1969 Quantity: 67.2 c.f. (160 archives boxes and 8 flat boxes) and 9 reels of microfilm (35mm) Call Number: Mss 407; Micro 40; Micro 750 Abstract: Records of the Wisconsin Division of the National Farmers Union, a group which promoted economic cooperation among farmers, lobbying for agricultural programs, education for members, and youth programs. Some of the services established by the Wisconsin Farmers Union are the Farmers Union Central Exchange (CENEX), the Farmers Grain Terminal Association, the Farmers Union Livestock Association, and the Farmers Union Insurance Corporation. Consisting of correspondence and a subject file, the records document the administration, policies, and political stances of both the national and state organizations. Very few records predate 1942. The materials include copies of records from the national organization such as financial records, minutes, reports, speeches of President James Patton, position papers, and press releases. Information is present on the organization's relationship with the American Dairy Association of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association of Cooperatives, its lobbying activities, youth programs, charges of communist sympathies within the organization, its service organizations, and other topics. Prominent correspondents include Kenneth W. Hones, Merlin Hull, Lester Johnson, Melvin R. Laird, Joseph R. McCarthy, Gilbert Rohde, Alexander Wiley, John Chester Baker, Tony Dechant, Gladys Talbott Edwards, Reuben Johnson, James G. Patton, Russell Smith, Benton Strong, Vernon Thompson, John Reynolds, and Gaylord Nelson.
Dobbs, Farrell	Title: Farrell Dobbs Papers, 1928-1983 Quantity: 6.8 c.f. (17 archives boxes) and 16 reels of microfilm (35mm) Call Number: Mss 848; Micro 2034 Abstract: Papers of Farrell Dobbs, a former national secretary (1952-1972) and Presidential candidate of the Socialist Workers Party. Included are biographical material, clippings, and Dobbs' FBI file; official party and personal research correspondence; subject files; speeches and writings; and reports to the party. The subject files consist of collected correspondence and original documents pertaining to his four-volume history of the origins of the Teamsters Union, a planned multi-volume history of American radicalism, and to a variety of topics in SWP history such as the Fourth International, Trotskyist factionalism of the 1950's and 1960's, and relations with the Young Socialists of America. Dobbs' experiences as a leader of the Minneapolis Teamsters strikes of 1934 are represented by collected records from other union activists, correspondence, minutes, clippings, flyers, and general research material. The collection also contains a small amount of material relating to Dobbs' wife, Marvel Scholl, including a 1934 diary and writings about the role of women in the Teamsters strikes. Prominent correspondents include James P. Cannon, Gerry Healy, and Harrison Salisbury.

(7 archives boxes), 125 photographs and 10 drawings in 1 archives box, and 1186 negatives (4 boxes); plus additions of 0.9 c.f., 45 films, 4 videorecordings, and 4 reels of microfilm (35mm) Call Number: Mss 944; PH 3915; M95-152; M95-309; M96-042; M97-157; M2001-079; M2007-043 Abstract: Papers of physician and educator Farrington Daniels, Jr. from Madison, Wisconsin. Daniels served in the Army Medical Corps in the Pacific from 1944 to 1947 and later worked as a civilian employee of the Army conducting laboratory and field investigations on the effects of heat and cold on personnel, the effects of clothing on the skin, and research on atomic bomb test sites. He later held positions as professor of dermatology at the University of Oregon, the University of Illinois, and at Cornell University/The New York Hospital. The collection documents Daniels' personal and professional activities mainly through correspondence dating from 1927; personal diaries, 1934-1942; and research notes (on microfilm). An avid photographer from boyhood, the collection includes many still and motion picture images taken by Daniels, from the 1930s to the 1990s, documenting family events; the Philippines (during the 1940s); Madison, Wisconsin (especially the Nakoma neighborhood); the University of Wisconsin Arboretum; Door County, Wisconsin; and New York City.

(5 record center cartons and 1 card file box) and 6 tape recordings Call Number: M97-073 Abstract: Records of Fast for Life (FFL), an international peace action organized by Charles Gray of Eugene, Oregon, to create a multilateral freeze on the development, production, testing, and deployment of nuclear weapons. The collection documents the organization and implementation of the group's activities and goals. The materials also document Gray's role as a social and political activist.
Fauerbach Brewing Company (Madison, Wis.)	Title: Fauerbach Brewing Company Records, 1891-1966 Quantity: 0.2 c.f. (1 archives box) Call Number: Mss 722 Abstract: Records of the Fauerbach Brewing Company, Madison, Wisconsin (1870-1966), a company that produced beer and had a local Pepsi-Cola bottling franchise. The records consist primarily of the minutes of annual and special meetings of the board of directors from 1891 to 1966. Original stock certificates and transfer records, as well as dissolution papers are included. The papers also contain a fragmentary correspondence, some of it relating to prohibition.
Fauver Hill Kindergarten Center (Onalaska, Wis.).	Title: Fauver Hill Kindergarten Center (Onalaska, Wisconsin) Records Physical Description: 2.2 cubic feet Call Number: MSS 092 Abstract: Originally a Town of Campbell school begun in 1867, the school continued to be called Campbell School until 1919, when the name was changed to Fauver Hill. Fauver Hill School joined the Onalaska School District in 1960, and continued to be used as an elementary school until 1983 when it became the Fauver Hill Kindergarten Center, housing all the kindergartners in the district. The Center closed in 1999. Materials include photographs, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and many items compiled in preparation of the memory book, “Fauver Hill, 1867-1999,” published in honor of the closing of the school.
Fauver Hill Study Club.	Title: Fauver Hill Study Club Records Physical Description: 0.8 cubic feet Call Number: MSS 105 Abstract: The Campbell Library Association, established on Mar. 1, 1901, was organized with the purpose of starting and maintaining a library for the Town of Campbell in La Crosse County, Wis. Membership in the organization has been primarily women. Once the La Crosse County Library System was formed in 1923, the club began to shift its focus. The organization changed its name to Fauver Hill Study Club in October 1967, and is still active. Club programs focus on current events, slide presentations and tours of schools, museums, and institutions. Materials include written histories of the club, newspaper clippings, programs, original and transcripted minutes, and other miscellaneous items.

All the films are 16mm prints in black and white with sound. Each episode is approximately 950 feet long.
