Abstract: Records documenting the functions and activities of the Milwaukee chapter of Black and White Men Together (BWMT). BWMT-Milwaukee provided a safe environment for gay males, interracial couples, and individuals interested in interracial dating. It also raised awareness about and combated racism within Milwaukee's gay community and homophobia within its black community. The collection includes brochures and fliers, newsletters, correspondence between the Milwaukee chapter and the national association, agendas and minutes from membership and steering committee meetings, and information about the 1987 national convention held in Milwaukee. The collection also contains some general information about the national association (NABWMT).

Abstract: Photographs of members of the Black community in Cheyenne Valley, Vernon County, Wisconsin, circa 1875-1975, one of the two Wisconsin farming communities settled by migrant Blacks. Included are images related to the Shivers, Bass, Owens, Revels, Barton, and Arms families as well as several images of the Eastman school and its pupils. The images were collected by Zachary Cooper while working on his book Black Settlers of Rural Wisconsin.

Abstract: Papers of radio and television writer-producer-director Blair Walliser, consisting mainly of scripts, story outlines and synopses for radio comedies and dramas, and clippings from Chicago newspapers' coverage of the programs, many of which were produced for WGN. Titles represented in the collection include: “The Coronet Story Teller” (which has an extensive outline series), “Harold Teen,” “Easy Money,” “Great Artists” (scripts are written by members of the Illinois Writers Project, including Louis “Studs” Terkel), “Peter Quill,” and “The Romance of Helen Trent.” Photographs are three photos from “Harold Teen.”
McNulty, Blake Title: Blake McNulty Interviews, 1966

Abstract: Tape-recorded and transcribed interviews conducted by Blake McNulty with leaders of the South Carolina civil rights movement, particularly the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. In addition to interviews with Rev. J. H. Hinton, Benjamin Mack, Richard Miles, Hayes Mizell, Rev. I. D. Newman, and Modjeska Simkins, there are also gospel songs and a radio script composed by Blake McNulty.

Blatz Brewing Company Title: Blatz Brewing Company Records, 1862-1944

Abstract: The majority of the collection consists of over three hundred accounting books that document the financial history of the Valentin Blatz Brewing Company. Most of the records are from the 1880s through the early 1920s, although some date as early as 1862 and as late as 1944. A variety of records are included in the collection, such as general ledgers and journals, cash books, inventory books, and cash customer journals. The records trace the history of the brewery, the bottling plant, various branches, and Valentin Blatz's Estate. The Blatz collection documents the company's rapid growth in the late nineteenth century, the sale of the business in 1890, the disposition of the Valentin Blatz estate, and the impact of the Prohibition movement. There is also extensive information pertaining to the beer bottling industry, including data about finances, vendors, customers, productions, product development, and sales. The records also demonstrate the complicated network of branches and depots that was in place as early as the 1880s.
