Abstract:
Papers, 1954-1970s, of Geraldine Boivin, née Cota, an outspoken Democratic Menominee Indian, documenting local affairs related to the Menominee Indians, in and around Neopit, Wisconsin, before and after Menominee County was created. Boivin and her husband, Julius, owned and ran a general store in Neopit during the 1940s and after. Materials include letters and diary entries, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings. The diary entries were written on individual pieces of notebook paper and the pages are interfiled with the letters.
