Papers of Nathan Feinsinger, an arbitator, mediator, and government official in matters of wage determination and dispute settlements. The papers include a 1952 recommendation of the National Wage Stabilization Board (chaired by Feinsinger), and the ensuing steel strike; a 1946 steel strike in which Feinsinger chaired a presidential fact finding board; labor cases in which Feinsinger acted as an attorney for the Wisconsin Labor Relations Board; materials on General Motors-United Auto Workers grievances which he umpired; and a civil rights controversy involving the NAACP Youth Council of Milwaukee and the Fraternal Order of Eagles (1966) which he mediated. Also included are speeches, writings, and a small amount of correspondence.
