Abstract:

Appointment records, 1979-1982, of Governor Dreyfus' administration. Included are appointment records on individual appointees organized alphabetically, including appointment summary sheets, confirmation letters, biographical profiles, and copies of official appointment certificates. Senate-confirmed appointment records on appointees organized alphabetically, including nomination letters from the Governor to the Senate, confirmation letters from the Senate to the Governor, congratulatory letters, and biographical profiles. There are also summary sheets of appointments organized by date; resignation letters from individuals resigning their appointed positions; and nominee correspondence, including letters of interest from nominees, biographical information, and letters of recommendation sent on nominees' behalves. Also included is some general correspondence with the Governor's office regarding appointments and appointment-related matters.
