Abstract: Records from the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and its predecessors, the Language and Area Center for Latin America and the Center for Latin America, as well as materials documenting the formation of the center. The collection consists of correspondence files, meeting minutes, planning documents, and discussion papers written by UWM professors and several scholars from outside the university and published by the center from 1969 to 1985. The center also published several newsletters and distributed the research findings of its members in essays, reprints, and pamphlets which are also included in the collection.
