James Murray organized the Milwaukee Curling Club in 1846. Milwaukee joined the Grand
National Curling Club of America in 1867, the first of many associations which the club was
affiliated, and played with teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Chicago. The club
incorporated in 1938. In 1970, it merged with the Ozaukee Curling Club and moved to the
Ozaukee Country Club, an indoor facility.
