Photographs, mainly black and white prints, used for general promotion of Wisconsin tourism by the Division. Although undated, the majority of prints date from the 1980s. Included are views of tourist destinations, museums and historic sites, scenic locations, and activities such as fishing, boating, skiing, and snowmobiling. There are also views of the EAA Fly-in, many hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast inns, festivals and fairs, and ferry boats. One folder documents various film crews searching for or filming at Wisconsin locations. Individuals in these photographs include Pat Boone, Glenn Close, Gilbert Hemsley, and Bob Uecker. Departmental secretary Dick Matty appears in some of these snapshots. Actor Paul Newman appears in one photograph taken at Road America.
There is a restriction on access to and use of this material; see the Administrative/Restriction Information portion of this finding aid for details. Some films and videorecordings in this collection are cataloged individually.
