Army (Including Army Nurses and the appropriate Wisconsin National Guard units)

This subseries contains bonus cards, and for some individuals records of discharge, distinguished bravery, and military death.

Bonus cards include name, serial number, race, residence, date and location of induction, place of birth, age, organizations served in, assignments and transfers, grades/ranks with dates of appointment, engagements, wounds and/or injuries received in action, period of service overseas, date of discharge, remarks, degree of disability, and the bonus paid to the veteran by the state.

Discharge cards include name, serial number, age, eyes, hair, complexion, height, date and place of birth, organization, occupation, marital status, address, date and location of both enlistment and discharge, reason for discharge, and promotions.

Records for distinguished service and death include name, race, residence, date of birth, promotions, appointments, organizations and assignments, training camp, principal station, engagements, dates of service overseas, date and location of death, burial site, person notified of death, that individual's address, and remarks.

Navy

Navy records in this subseries contain discharge cards only. The amount of the individual's bonus is not recorded. Navy discharge records include name, service number, location and date of enrollment, age at entrance, rate at entrance, home address, dates and location of service, rates of service, number of days in service, remarks, and date and rating at discharge.

Marine Corps

Marine Corps records in this subseries contain discharge cards only. The amount of the individual's bonus in not recorded. Discharge records for the Marine Corps include name, residence, date and location of enlistment, birthdate, birthplace, assignmnets, transfers, engagements, wounds and injuries received in action, dates of service overseas, date of discharge, comments on character at discharge, and remarks.
