Records of the first cooperatively owned bus company in the United States, which provided public transportation in Fond du Lac, Wis. and surrounding areas from 1968 to 1973. The non-profit business restored bus service to the area following the demise of the privately-owned Fond du Lac Bus Company, and was a pioneering attempt to solve through a cooperative model the financial difficulties typical of urban transportation systems. Included are articles of incorporation and bylaws, minutes of annual and board of directors' meetings, correspondence, annual and monthly reports to the Wisconsin Public Service Commission, information about buses and bus schedules, financial records, promotional materials, shareholder records, materials concerning its 1973 sale to the City of Fond du Lac, and records of final dissolution and shareholder monetary distributions.
