Land Tenure Center series : The Land Tenure Center was organized on May 11, 1962 when the University of Wisconsin signed an initial three year contract with the Agency for International Development. The Land Tenure Center conducted research projects in several Latin American countries including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Guatemala and Nicaragua. The research focused on land ownership patterns and institutional structures.
