Ogden, Utah.-The 'Auditorium roller skating rink at Grant avenue was opened. The R. L. Mauzy Amusement Com- p ny's first international six-day roller skating contest will be held at the new Auditorium Denver, Colorado, November 23 to9, 1908. Fiist prize, $500; second prize, $800; third prize, $200; fourth prize, $100; fifth prize, $50. All prizes paid in gold. For extra entry blanks or further in- foriation, tddress R. L. Mauzy, presi- dent and treasurer, Elk's Club, Deniver, Colo. Entry fee, $10, payable before open- ing of contest. Entries close Nov. 19. These Theatoriums Thriving. Danville, Va., Oct. 27. The moving picture industry at Dan- ville, Va., seems to be thriving. The population of Danville will not exceed 22,000 and it can boast of having five moving picture shows in operation. On the south side there are three, The Pal- ace, The Dixie and The Gaiety. On the north side, The Gem and Nickelodeon. There are very few towns in the country of this size that can boast of five mov- ing picture shows and all doing fair busi- ess, except Gaiety, and they are doing capacity business. This is also one of the best theater-going towns in the country, considering size.. BECK TO PRODUCE DE KOVEN OPERETTA.
